Winch & Recovery + Underbody Protection
Recovery and protection is key when preparing your vehicle for overland travels. It is important to use good quality thick aluminum skid protection to protect steering components and oil sump / differentials and have appropriate recovery points and self recovery winch system to get you out of trouble if you get stuck.
Extended Fuel & Water Tanks
These neat tank solutions utilize the free space in the rear wheel arch wells under the vehicle to create a larger capacity fuel tank on the RH side of the vehicle and a water tank on the LH side.
Dual Battery Split Charge System
We use Optima Red and Yellow top Dual system battery management with a controllable auto / manual link split charge remote which shows the voltage in both batteries when in use.
Adrian's CSK Overland Prepped Defender 110
Adrian purchased this very clean rest of world spec 110 td5 LHD defender from Italy and managed to get it shipped over and straight to us - Once in the UK it was put on UK registration plates and driven up to our workshop. We carefully sat down and went through a whole load of options with Adrian to make sure this 110 was kitted out correctly for the travel he was intending to use the vehicle for. We went over the 110 giving it a check over and service before work was agreed so we had a better understanding on the base vehicle. We then applied a whole load of extras to improve the vehicles ride, life, lighting, storage and capabilities for offroad terrain. Extras included - storage compartments, insulation and sound deadening, new heavy duty steel modulars for increased weight limit and strength with a BFG all terrain tyre which is good for both on and offroad, improved lighting using the latest LED upgrades, roof rack and full protection, winch with synthetic rope and HD bumper package, snorkel, suspension upgrade for handling and weight limit, chequer plating, onboard compressor, comfort inside the cab was also a must with the improved front seating using our new full leather RRS race seats - as the battery box is limited we fitted a split charge system and a anderson plug to the front seatbox for ease of access.
Adrian has been on a number of trips now to the French/Swiss Alps and also a holiday to spain in his Defender. And on return has popped back for a check over to make sure all is in order ready for his next trip!
What really made it for me was the post Adrian made to our facebook page - with a photo of his 110 in the Swiss alps whilst he and his family sat enjoying the views with a comment " Thanks for making this happen CSK"

Chassis Treatment
Heavy Duty Suspension lift kit package giving an extra 2inch of ride height and full rust proofing protection applied using Dinitrol 4941 Black under body protection.
Interior Comfort
Interior seating and entertainment upgraded with RRS low base sport seats and wireless apple play headunit. Charger points and storage solutions installed.
Rear wheel carrier
Nakatanenga Stainless steel wheel carrier which allows for the support of the extra weight of a spare wheel on the rear door of a Defender.
Kevin's CSK Overland Prepped Defender 110
Kevin brought his 110 puma down to the CSK workshop on a weekend were we both sat and discussed exactly what his sole purpose was in using the Defender for his holidays and trips away. Kevin was recommended by the Sales manager from were he purchased his new Defender to bring it to CSK for some tasty but worthwhile modifications. Splitting up the overall layout and cost of the vehicle upgrades we decided it was best to prepare the vehicle in stages with what trips he has planned instead of chucking thousands of pounds at the 110 on unnecessary upgrades. Kevin's first trip was in 4 weeks time of the drop off date which gave us plenty of time to kit the vehicle out. The full spec is as follows:
Full vehicle strip down, soundproof and rust prevent/seal.
Underbody protection included a front steering guard and fuel cooler guard.
OEM spec chequer plate throughout to include - wingtops, sills and rear quater panels.
Snow intake heater vent as used in the military.
Full underbody Dinitrol rust proofing.
Genuine Land Rover roof rack which we boarded using H/D Buffallo marine ply board.
LED rear worklight to the rear of the vehicle wired to a genuine LR switch on the dash center wired permanently which means the keys can be removed from the vehicle but the light can still be in use.
Upgraded led interior reading lights.
Upgraded extended fuel tank to the rear quater allowing an extra 48 litres of fuel. (finished in stainless steel and chip coat protected)
Water tank to rear with easy access tap fitted to the rear x-member.
Oh and a nice Wash and Wax ready for some overlanding battle scars.
Overall both ourselves and Kevin were very pleased with the out come of the vehicle.
Kevin has returned back from his first trip and can not stop phoning and emailing me to congratulate us on the work which CSK have completed. Next up on the cards is upgraded exterior lights and a roll cage.... We hope to see you soon Kevin and thank you for your custom.
Water Tank
36L water tank installed up inside the LH rear quater of the vehicle - easy filler cap fitted internally to the rear of the vehicle and an external tap to the rear xmember to get the water out with ease.
Fuel Cooler Guard
Its good idea to fit a fuel cooler guard onto Puma Defenders as they are exposed on the side of the chassis and can easily be ripped off or damaged. This guard prevents any damages when offroad.
Boarded Rack
Marine ply buffalo board on top of the Genuine LR roof rack which gives a great area platform to stand on, strap items such as Jerry cans and luggage down to or fit a roof tent on to easily.
